Rick Black – Architecture at the Umlauf

Date Monday, August 31st, 2009 at 8:24 pm Posts By Ryan Brown

As cooler fall weather gets closer (i hope!) the awesome lecture series ‘Architecture at the Umlauf’ starts up again.  Leading off this fall is local architect Rick Black.  You may have seen Rick’s work in Dwell Magazine, or on past Austin home tours.

I’m a big fan of Rick and Cindy black – they excel at designing beautiful and efficient spaces.  I’ve also posted about Cindy’s kitchen-centric design services here: Austin Design Resource: Hello Kitchen Design.  Don’t miss Rick’s talk!  Details below:

Austin Designer Kelly Moseley featured on Design Sponge

Date Monday, August 17th, 2009 at 10:46 pm Posts By Ryan Brown

Most of you are probably familiar with Design Sponge – a beautifully designed blog about beautiful design.  Even better – they frequently feature the work of Austin architects and designers.  You may remember some nice coverage of one of my listings (with a spirited Austin vs. NY/SF debate in the comments): Design Sponge: where i dream of living

Today Design Sponge posted a beautiful home by Austin designer Kelly Moseley.  Here are a few photos, but be sure to click through to Design Sponge for many more, along with design notes from Kelly: Design Sponge: sneak peek: kelly moseley.  Also see Kelly’s website, Anabel Interiors.
