More Frank Lloyd Wright Links
I’ve posted twice recently about topics related to Frank Lloyd Wright:
One more won’t hurt, right? These two links caught my eye today:
Fallingwater - A short computer graphic movie featuring the Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece

Artist Cristobal Vila built a 3d model of Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous Fallingwater. The renderings are very impressive (thumbnail above, be sure to checkout full version), but Cristobal also used his model to explain how the famous home was built. It’s definitely worth checking out. Also, if you’re in Pennsylvania you can visit Fallingwater, details at the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy website.
Loving Frank
Fifty-seven years after he designed it, the house that Frank Lloyd Wright thought might be his greatest has finally been built by one determined fan.

New York Magazine

This is a neat article about a FLLW design from 1950 that was never built. Then 40 yrs later sheet metal magnate Joseph Massaro set out to locate the design and build the home. He bought the site of the home, a private island, in 1991. Recently he finished construction based on Wright’s original design. There is a bit of controversy surrounding the build as the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation does not acknowledge the project as a Frank Lloyd Wright home.
The photos with the article are great, of course the home is amazing. Many of the features remind me of the Price Tower: the Cherokee-Red concrete floors with triangle scoring pattern, the angled walls and custom furniture, the copper cladding, etc.
That’s enough FLLW for now.
